Terms of use
Zengist is a product name of, and is operated by, Elowin Labs LLC. By using Zengist you agree to these terms and to the privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use it.
1. The service
Zengist converts documents, text, images and links into summaries and other written output using automated language models, on your device where possible and otherwise through a cloud model. Output is generated automatically and can be wrong, incomplete or misleading. It is not legal, financial, medical or professional advice. You are responsible for checking output against the original material before relying on it.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or older where your jurisdiction requires, to use Zengist.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit material you do not have the right to process, or that is unlawful;
- use the link feature to probe, scrape or attack other sites;
- circumvent rate limits, request tokens or other measures that keep the free service free;
- use automated means to access the service at volume without our written permission;
- interfere with the service or other users.
4. Your content
You keep all rights to what you submit and to the output. On-device runs never send your content to us. For cloud runs you grant us the limited license needed to relay your text to the model provider and return the result; nothing more. We do not use your content to train models and we do not sell it.
5. Our content
The Zengist name, site design and code are owned by Elowin Labs LLC or its licensors. Open-source components used by the site remain under their own licenses.
6. Third-party services
Cloud runs use a third-party model provider, and optional private models are downloaded from public content delivery networks. Those services have their own terms, which apply to your use of them through Zengist.
7. Availability and changes
The service is free and provided as a convenience. We may change, limit or discontinue it, or these terms, at any time. Daily caps on the cloud path may make it temporarily unavailable; on-device runs are unaffected.
8. Disclaimer
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, ELOWIN LABS LLC WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS OR BUSINESS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. BECAUSE THE SERVICE IS FREE, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM IS LIMITED TO ONE HUNDRED US DOLLARS.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Palm Beach County, Florida, and you consent to their jurisdiction. If you are a consumer in a jurisdiction whose law gives you rights that cannot be waived, nothing here limits those rights.
